Maths Problem 1



A boy goes to the school with the speed of 3 km/hr and returns with the speed of 2 km/hr. If he takes 5 hours, in all, then how do you find the distance (in km) between house to the school?

Answer :-

Let the distance be x km

S1 = 3km/h         S2 = 2km/h

d = x km             d = x km

t1 = d/s = d/3     t2 = d/s = d/2

Total  Time = t1+t2 = 5

 

ð   => d/2 +  d/3 = 5

 

ð   3x + 2x / 6 = 5

 

ð   5x = 30

 

ð   x = 30/5

 

    = 6 km

the distance between house to the school is 6 km
